Billie Eilish has taken to Instagram to post an emotional tribute to her dog Pepper, who tragically passed away. In the post, the 21-year-old called him her ‘lifelong best friend.’

The Ocean Eyes singer rose to fame in 2015, and ever since then her career has been soaring, with an astounding seven Grammys at just 21 years old. Since her rise to stardom, Billie Eilish has gained an incredibly loyal fanbase, who stand by her in good times, and bad.

Taking to her 110 million Instagram followers, Billie shared a touching tribute to her ‘lifelong best friend’ Pepper who passed away after 15 years.

In the caption, the Bad Guy singer said she’ll ‘miss her forever’ as she wrote:

“Pepper. my lifelong best friend. I will see you again someday sweet girl. you made it 15 years you f****** beast. :’) I love you. rest easy mama, I’ll miss you forever.🫀this is a really hard day.

The music star posted a number of snaps of, and with, her beloved pooch, including throwback childhood snaps as she and her family spent quality time with Pepper.

Fans and celebrities send their condolences

The emotional post has received over 7 million likes and over 70k comments as fans and celebrity friends send their condolences to the star.

Singer Demi Lovato wrote: “I’m so sorry.”

“Why can’t they live as long as us :(,” penned one fan.

Mexican actress, Eiza González wrote: “Awww baby I’m so sorry this is so tough 🙁 . Sending you and your family a huge hug and love.”

“Sending our deepest condolences to the whole family. Rest in peace, Pepper,” wrote one of Eilish’s loyal fan pages.

Finneas O’Connell shares tribute to family dog

Billie’s brother, singer-songwriter Finneas O’Connell also shared an emotional tribute to family dog, Pepper.

Taking to his Instagram stories, the 25-year-old wrote:

“Our dog has, at the ripe old age of 15, transcended her mortal form. A good, good dog who gave our family so much love and was loved by us all in equal measure.”
