Eva Longoria finally comes clean about those Desperate Housewives feud rumors

Eva Longoria is ready to spill the real tea on her stint in Desperate Housewives and the rumors regarding having feuds with castmates.

ABC’s hit TV show Desperate Housewives ran from 2004-2012 and Eva Longoria was at the center of the drama along with castmates Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, and Marcia Cross. The 48-year-old celebrity‘s role earned her multiple nominations including Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Eva Longoria reveals the real story behind Desperate Housewives

A decade after ABC’s Desperate Housewives ended, Eva Longoria claims that most of the ‘feuds’ that viewers read about were ‘factual.’ The Sentinel star dished all in a new podcast episode of Armchair Expert. “We would now see as just, like, this narrative about women, that there’s no way these women could get along,” she said.

Eva also revealed that it was her co-stars who helped her cope with the sudden attention and fame that came from the show.

“They all had such a better handle on fame, on that narrative,” Longoria said. “I’m like, ‘[People] are saying we’re fighting.’ They’re like, ‘Well, that’s just a narrative they do on women because we’re over 40 on a television show.’ And I was like, ‘Yeahhh.’ I wasn’t even that smart to understand that.”

“We were in such a bubble”

Eva said she was hardly aware of all the rumors that were ongoing about the show. Speaking of her blissful time on set, she recalls: “Anything that happened outside the show, we were like, ‘What?’ We could never come up for air to really get outside of ourselves.

“We were only on the set. … I remember that noise being outside of us. We were in such a bubble with our crew and each other.”

Earlier, Eva had also confessed that not everything was rosy on the set of Desperate Housewives. In a 2019 letter, she said she was bullied by a cast member until her co-star Felicity Huffman helped her put an end to it.

“There was a time I was being bullied at work by a co-worker,” Eva admits. “I dreaded the days I had to work with that person because it was pure torture. Until one day, Felicity told the bully ‘enough’ and it all stopped. Felicity could feel that I was riddled with anxiety even though I never complained or mentioned the abuse to anyone.”

Eva also thanked Felicity for the friendship and support that she received from her fellow actress to survive the decade of filming the show.

“I know I would not have survived those 10 years if it wasn’t for the friendship of Felicity,” she wrote.
