Kisii Couple Visiting Kenya from USA Brutally Murdered in Their Sprawling Mansion: "They Were Helpfu

• Edward Morema Nyagechi and his wife Grace were visiting Nyamakoroto village, Gesima Ward, Nyamira county, when they were brutally murdered in their home
• The two have been hailed as very good and helpful people who helped their people even when living abroad
• Edward was the County Coordinator and Manager of a community group known as Bwakire Se Movement
• A middle-aged Kisii couple visiting the country from Minnesota, USA, was brutally murdered in their big mansion house at Nyamakoroto, country on March 21, 2022.

Edward and Garce were hacked to death

In a YouTube video posted by their US friend and churchmate Evelyne Kemuto, screams rent the air as friends and relatives descended on the homestead of Edward Morema Nyagechi and his wife Grace after people heard the news.

The large crowd looked shaken as they saw the bodies which lay on the ground with deep panga wounds and hands tied behind their backs.

The mouths of the two were stuffed with clothes to prevent them from fighting back or asking for help as well.

One smartly-dressed man who was wailing unashamedly in the video stood out, and he was very shattered because they used to help him very much.

"They used to help me when we were still living in Keroka town and also sent me money from time to time," he wailed bitterly. They were good to me, bought me food and also supported me all the way from the USA after telling them of my problems, " he disclosed.

Edward was Bwakire Se Movement's County Coordinator

As the puzzled crowd grew bigger, the police rode into the compound and took the two bodies of the departed away as screams followed them.

A pastor in the crowd prayed for the family and children still in America.

He also prayed that the police officers would speed up investigations and come up with tangible evidence to arrest the culprit.

"It's a painful death and there are a lot of questions that people are asking themselves. The couple are of age and they are not so young that we can say they had marital challenges. What I can say is that they were probably killed out of jealousy," Kemunto told TUKO.co.ke.

A friend of the family called Henry M Ongeri took to his Facebook page and termed the murder brutal and senseless.

"We are yet to come to terms with the heart-wrenching brutality and viciousness of the crime. We are traumatised by the cold-blooded nature of the attack that has snuffed the dreams of many who looked upon Edward as a leader, guide and mentor," said Ongeri.

Edward delivered Bwakire Se!

Edward was the County Coordinator and Manager of Bwakire Se Movement which is a community group, and according to Ongeri, he had a passion for serving all.

"He delivered the Bwakire Se! dream of a brighter county to every homestead, village and community in Nyamira County," he said."And as tribute, the dream will live on. We will miss his unmistakable smile, selflessness and devotion to the betterment of community across borders. We have lost," he added.

Couple dies in tragic US accident

A Kenyan couple, Gideon and his wife Ruth, were headed to Lake Elsinore, California, but never made it home to their three little children.

The car Gideon was driving was hit head-on by a vehicle heading in the opposite direction, and the couple died on the spot.

Eyewitness News reported that family members asked well-wishers for financial assistance to give the two a befitting decent send-off.
